Dr. Alena Zachery-Ross, a native Detroiter, has 20 years of leadership and coaching experience. Her leadership experiences as a Superintendent of Schools, Pastor, Coach, and Consultant set her apart to be relatable and relevant to various clientele. Dr. Zachery-Ross launched Alena Zachery Ross, LLC and AZR Leads to help leaders transform, understand, and lead themselves first, then their teams and organizations towards successful outcomes even during these unprecedented times.
 

Dr. Zachery-Ross' passion is to see organizations and teams transformed by first developing the leader.  She has hosted and presented at seminars, conferences, and revivals across the nation. Alena focuses on leadership development, self/identity development, team building, and group member capabilities in workshops and lectures. She brings researched-based practices and strategies through humor and storytelling.
 

Dr. Zachery-Ross received a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education/Psychology,  a Master's of Arts in Educational Psychology, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Michigan State University. She earned her National Superintendent’s certification from the AASA National Superintendent’s Certification Program.  She is a member of the Forbes Business Council and is a prominent speaker, educational consultant, and transformational coach who facilitates professional learning throughout the United States.
 

Dr. Zachery-Ross is the Pastor of Lane Memorial CME Church in Jackson, Michigan, the Superintendent of Schools at Ypsilanti Community Schools in Ypsilanti, Michigan, and a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
